Isaac Prieto vinyl

Born in Mexico but based out of Detroit, Isaac has been steadily been building a name for himself as part of the new generation of DJs in the motor city. He has a unique taste of blending Detroit Techno with European minimal records which led him to start a record label with this unique concept in 2016, Detroit Vinyl Room. With this platform, he has released music along with local artists such as Norm Talley and MGUN and put out music from international artists like Denis Kaznacheev and Moreon & Baffa. In addition to playing regularly in venues like TV lounge and Marble Bar, Isaac has been actively hosting events in unique spaces outside the club such as Detroit City Distillery and Gold Cash Gold where he invites guests such as Shigeto, Kai Alce, and Patrice Scott to play more intimate sets for smaller crowds. This last year he also started a new vinyl only residency in Detroit’s UFO Factory where he’s opened for some of the best DJs in the city but more importantly, promoted diversity and inclusion in the music scene. He plans to put out the fifth and sixth release on his label this year as well as travel back to Chicago, Mexico and Europe to further spread his love of vinyl and music.
