The new wave of Detroit
A new generation of Detroit artists is reshaping the city’s house and techno traditions in its own image. Drawing on jazz, soul, machine funk and experimental electronics, these records carry Detroit’s musical language forward without simply repeating its past. From loose, deeply swung house to raw electro and future-facing techno, this collection brings together some of the most distinctive voices emerging from the city’s underground.
