Born and raised in Detroit. You will likely find Shady P in the darkest corner of whatever club in whatever city he’s in this weekend. A resident at Detroit’s legendary TV Lounge, and a collaborator of Texture, his main interests are finding forgotten records and toying with the psychedelic side of dance music. Co-founder of How to Kill Records Detroit has stretched his legs as a producer himself, with releases on various other imprints such as Clan Destine, BREED, Catholic Press, and Heated Heads. As a DJ, Shady P has played records across the underground US scene, with stops at Smartbar (CHI), Hot Mass (PGH), Panther Room (NY), and more; also making appearances at Movement Festival in 2016 and Bonnaroo Festival in 2015.
