Deemphasis vinyl
Native of northern France, Deemphasis has been influenced in the late 80’s by German, English, Detroit and Belgium techno sounds. ( new-beat, etc) In the 90's, He is very involved in the 'demoscene' with his demo-group called 'ukonx'. He is the main coder, and he additionally do the music for these realtime productions. This kind of music must be very synchronized to the visual, with breaks etc.. to magnify the visual effects. Technically, he used 'sound-tracker' to do the music, and still use the same approached nowadays using renoise. This is when he moved to Clermont-Ferrand, in the early 2000’s that he started to do some Techno live-acts with his friends Offset and Peterphonix. Influenced by the DJ Syrob mixes (resident at 101 club/clermont-ferrand - Copilote recording), Deemphasis then gradually steered towards electro, to finally settle. In 2010 Deemphasis released his first EP 'Synthetic cells' on Umwelt label, NewFlesh records. and motivates him to go forward. In 2011, he released his first album “Mechanical Beats” launching his own label : Ukonx Recordings. Great artists like Fleck ESC and Franck Kartell has released his album and EP, and many others greats artists has participate to the compilation 'Magnetism Vol 1'. Ukonx releases had the pleasure to be played by Laurent Garnier and Dave Clarke.
