O B Ignitt, real name Omar Harper is an American song writer and producer from the Motor City: Detroit MI. O B Ignitt has been in the music industry since 1992 producing music in R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Gospel, Jazz and now Dance Music. He has produced with mainstream artists in different genres of music as a musician and writer. In 2011 he entered the dance music world as an artist producing hot heavy house and techno hits that are taking the world by storm. O B Ignitt has made his presence known with collaborations with some of the biggest names in the world. In 2011, along with legendary DJ and producer Omar S, he made his artist debut with the release of Wayne County Hills Cops Pt 2, which was one of the hottest and best releases of this last decade. In 2012 he made his 1st solo album debut, releasing Oh Jabba on FXHE Records, which was another top selling record of the year and decade. O B Ignitt has released several remixes and joint projects since bursting onto the scene in 2011. In 2013 O B Ignitt released another solo project titled O B Ignitt Presents. Now in 2014 O B Ignitt (Omar Harper) has launched OBONIT RECORDS and released three Ep's on the label to date, titled ' I'm Here Now The Arrival' Catalog # Obonit 001 and 'Let Me Tell You' Catalog # Obonit 002. 'The 90's Evolution of what is was' Catalog# Obonit 003, a collaboration featuring Omar S. This is the 2nd time O B Ignitt an Omar S team up since Wayne County Hills Cops Pt 2. In late 2015 O B Ignitt released a joint release along side fellow friend and FXHE mate Luke Hess titled 'Star Gazing' Catalog# 004. As the world watches the renaissance and revival of Detroit, it listens for the sound of those carrying the torch of authentic Motor City-born techno into the future. Brian Kage is one of those innovators leading Detroit’s electronic music forward into the musical zeitgeist of change and revolution. Kage was recently crowned one of DJ magazine’s “10 Detroit Producers Keeping the Sound of the Motor City Alive.” Detroit born-and-raised Kage co-founded record label Beretta Music, through which he mentored and helped shape the careers of many internationally respected DJs and producers, including Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, and Luke Hess. Kage has also released well-received music on Omar S’s record label FXHE, Carl Craig’s Planet-E, Steve Bug’s PokerFlat, Rob Modell’s Echospace, and many more. Kage’s “DetroitLuv” record was featured and played on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix by Richie Hawtin and Ricardo Villalobos. Part of the underground dance duo “Reference” (along with fellow Detroit techno alumn Luke Hess), the group has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious dance clubs and halls both in North America and abroad. Kage’s “The Arc EP,” released on his own Michigander label, pays tribute to Detroit with its uplifting melodic techno style. “The Arc EP” was also featured and praised on Resident Advisor’s “New Tracks” list. Additionally, DJ magazine praised his collaboration with vocalist James Garcia, ‘Shut Your Eyes’, as “one of 2015’s best house tracks.” When he’s not working on his own music, Brian is working alongside local and international acts to mix, master and engineer their music with “KageMastering.” Clients have included Ataxia, John F.M., OB Ignitt, Monty Luke, Insane Clown Posse, and many more. A vital part of Detroit’s rich techno history, Brian Kage is one of the artists and producers providing the score for the Motor City’s continuing rebirth.
