His releases on international labels include Dubvolution (Into the Deep Rec), Dreams With The Mirror Planet ( Off Minor) a records which has enjoyed excellent reviews and which figured among the ten best records of 2016 in lists from respected names such as Amoeba Music. In love with analogue sound, his live performances of synthesised music along with other electronic instruments are technically impeccable. José Rico lives by and for music. Music isn’t meant to be at a consistent volume and flat frequency. It’s meant to be dynamic, to move, to fall and rise and to take you with it, physically and emotionally. Otherwise it literally is just background noise.
