Next up on the Clone Crown Series and hailing from the post-industrial city of Nancy, France, is bad boy and multi-instrumentalist funkateer Gary Gritness aka Slikk Tim, bringing us The adventures of Gary Gritness chapter 1. Spread over two separate 12"s, Gary delivers a cyberfunk joyride with 9 shit hot instrumental electro funk tracks with a cinematical feel, blending nowadays influences from the streets of Detroit, Oakland and Atlanta around his trademark soulful sound. All tracks were created using a minimal setup of analog gear, giving them their typical raw oldschool flavour to maximal result; dirty, warm & funky as hell. As a session musician Slikk Tim has worked for many household names of different scenes including Orlando Voorn, Dam-Funk, Kenny Bobien, Grant Nelson & Boddhi Satva. Being a sideman and arranger as well, Tim played in a variety of latin, jazz, r'n'b, afro and soul groups, as an arranger and bandleader he plays in several ensembles, with most notably his jazz-funk project Dopegems. As an electronic musician Gary Gritness has released on labels such as My Love Is Underground. The adventures of Gary Gritness... coming soon to a theatre near you! Chapter 1 is out on december 8th 2014.
