Bale Defoe displayed on the first edition of his mix series, Grown Folks' Business, that he will leave no stone unturned searching for the next record to get your feet moving.  Influenced heavily by the early sounds of Detroit Techno and Chicago House, Bale continues to refine his sound, but is never afraid to step outside of his comfort zone as he does with the more bass-driven BlackBass project with fellow Detroit DJ/producer Ryan McCray.  An obsession with synthesizers and samples leaves Bale with little money for anything outside of making music, and that is perfectly fine with him.
